Korean Startup Ji-In Aims to Solve Agricultural Challenges with AI

There exists a South Korean startup that aims to help farmers suffering from agricultural difficulties due to pests caused by climate change, use of pesticides, and volatility in markets and prices caused by complex distribution structures. Founded in September 2019, an agricultural corporation Ji-in (CEO Ho-jin Jeong) introduced an AI artificial intelligence system and launched an “Atti Farmer” project that contains customized work instruction solutions for individual and regional farmers.

As for AI technology development, it has been selected as the “AI voucher support project” by the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA) and is making all-out efforts to develop technology cooperating with MTEG Co., Ltd. The name of the technology is “A pest identification and prescription system using image recognition technology”. It collects more than 150,000 pest data and learns from artificial intelligence algorithms and establishes a “one-click solution web service” that informs users of the cause, treatment, and drug recommendations. The service is scheduled to be launched in November 2021.

The biggest feature of Atti Farmer is the introduction of an AI artificial intelligence system that enables eco-friendly, high-quality, and multiple harvesting through various information optimized for agriculture and manualization of organic cultivation methods. In addition, it can be used through mobile apps and websites.

The app plans to provide information on how to grow major crops and customized work solutions for individual and regional farmers, and the Atti Farmer’s website offers more accurate agricultural manuals and pest solutions for more than 300 crops through Artificial Intelligence

Farmers can gain more convenient agricultural knowledge through agricultural chatbots and agricultural games. In addition, consumers can gain reliable agricultural information and indirect return experience through Atti Farmer Market, Atti Farmer Return Academy, and Atti Farmer’s commando experience services.

Jung Ho-jin, CEO of Ji-in, an agricultural corporation, said, ‘Starting with the development of Arti Farmer, we plan to develop a platform for direct sales and promotion of agricultural products so that not only farmers but also consumers can purchase high-quality agricultural products at reasonable prices. “We will lead healthier and more convenient agriculture by taking the lead for the future of agriculture,” he said. We can’t wait to see Atti Farmer’s promising future as a modern farming troubleshooter.

The Reason Why ‘LEARN KOREAN IN KOREAN’ is the Best Korean Learning Service

From the movie Parasite winning the Best Picture Oscar to the rise of BTS and Squid Game, people across the border are fascinated by Korean entertainment productions. The Korean wave does not seem to disappear but rather gain more popularity as time goes by.

If you suddenly got interested in learning Korean recently but were discouraged by the difficulty it carries, I’m here to bring you a good solution. ‘LEARN KOREAN IN KOREAN’ is a very effective Korean learning service made by an amiable Korean teaching expert.

Currently, it has 130,000 YouTube channel subscribers and 70,000 Instagram followers and is also developing online Korean classroom web/app services.

Tae-Seong Kim, CEO of LEARN KOREAN IN KOREAN said, “There are more than 100 million potential foreign learners. Even if they don’t come to Korea in person, I want to provide enough learning opportunities in offline classes which is the main purpose for the program’s development. Learners’ responses are also very positive and learning Korean without using English or Roman characters leads to a better understanding of the meaning. Several comments state that one truly likes this immersive education method, and one has learned Korean through several paid apps, but watching one or two LEARN KOREAN IN KOREAN videos was much more helpful. Whenever I see such comments, I gain strength”, he added.

He has more than 10 years of experience in Korean language education for foreigners. “More than 90% of foreign learners are from non-English, and most foreign Korean learners are unable to learn Korean due to the lack of English proficiency. We have launched an online Korean language education service to ensure equal opportunity for everyone around the world to have the right to learn” he said.

In addition, “LEARN KOREAN IN KOREAN” reflects the characteristics of Korean that vary subtly depending on the relationship and situation between the speaker and the listener, allowing them to speak Korean without awkwardness subject to the situation.

In particular, a Korean language education program that can be applied directly to real-life was created with examples of sharing situations such as informal speech, honorifics, formal conversations, and formal presentations that foreigners tend to have difficulty distinguishing. This prevents confusion that sets off from the difference between the Korean language learning through the Korean textbooks centered on written language and the Korean spoken in their daily life, and it eventually makes them feel confident in speaking Korean. In particular, it is expected to be useful for married migrant women, foreign workers, and international students who need to apply Korean directly to their daily lives.

At last, it will expand its service by establishing an AI automatic evaluation system that automatically evaluates learners’ Korean speech in real-time. Check out the YouTube channel!
